Johnny Depp : un disque de pirates avec Iggy Pop, Tom Waits, Courtney Love

Plus d'une trentaine d'invités sur la compilation basée sur le thème des pirates, mise en oeuvre par l'acteur Johnny Depp. Iggy Pop, Courtney Love, Michael Stipe de REM, Broken Social Scene, feu Frank Zappa, Patti Smith, Tom Waits ou encore Sean Lennon figureront sur l'album intitulé Son of Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys, produit par Hal Willner et dirigé par Gore Verbinski (réalisateur de Pirates des Caraibes). Johnny Depp, que l'on a récemment vu sur scène avec Marilyn Manson, Bruce Springsteen et Aeromsith, y interprétera un titre avec Patti Smith appelé "The Mermaid". L'ex mari de Vanessa Paradis avait déjà initié un album similaire en 2006, nommé Rogue's Gallery. Sortie de son successeur prévue le 18 février 2013.
